When dealing with the issue of prophetic ministry, the first question we must ask is “Does God speak?” The answer to this question is foundational to everything that follows. If we come to the conclusion that there is a God who speaks, we may then ask  how does the “God who speaks” speak? Furthermore, if there is a God who speaks, and we can find examples of how the God who
speaks speaks, does the God who speaks still speak today?

The answer to these questions absolutely have ramifications to our lives today. If there is a God who speaks, and we can find out how he speaks, and we can see that he continues to speak, how may we go about expecting to hear him speak today?
